We arrived in Doha at 11:30 am... eeerr time for Friday Prayer... need to take a cab to hotel... no Qatar Riyal... Money changer only open at 4:00 pm. Enough said.

We stay at the Grand Mercure Hotel... a little old from outside but it is ok.. I mean not bad from inside. Hotel is ok.. free internet access and very high speed. Food was on the other hand not very good. We tried the buffet breakfast for QR70 per person which is around RM54 ... Highly not recomended.

Ohh.. forgot to mention. I left Kuwait with my Polo Bag with tyre and pick it up in Doha International Airport Baggage Claim area with stains of dust all over it, dirty looking and no more tyres!!! It is gone!!! Damn..
So in Doha, it is my turn to buy a new bag... only this time i bought the hard case type which cost me QR 250... wander how much that bag will cost in Malaysia?? Nearly RM450!!!
I buy in Doha only cost me around Rm 220 only....

Ritz Salmiya hotel is situated in one of the prime locations in Salmiya at Qatar street, at the intersection of AI-Khansa street. Located in a service vibrant and fashionable area, amidst up-market shopping malls and entertainment centers, it is opposite to Souk AlSalmiya.
But to tell you .. this Souk is a modern one. Not like the one in Damascus, but more towards Maidin Mall....if you get what i meant.

At last...
|

Yes.. our task in Kuwait is complete. MENOG has come to the end. Everybody was happy. I am also happy because we can finally have some time to rest. Opps.. forgot to tell you... here daytime is longer than night time... and that is what makes us exhausted.
At 0530 the sun is already out something like at 0715 in Malaysia and at 1830 it started to get dark.
After the closing ceremony we take a stroll along the beach to what we thought is an aquarium but instead turn out to be Hard Rock Cafe. Anyway, we are in and out of the shopping Mall looking for things that can be bought to bring home but those are all branded boutique!!!
So we decided to go back to the hotel and go to the City Center instead... we did and we also did find out that there is actually nothing for us to buy there. No souvenirs can be seen. The clothing is somewhat a bit too weired for Malaysia to wear and the kids T-Shirt size does not really match. Imagine your 8 year old son wearing the shirt of a 5 year old Arab!!!
And the best thing is that I got solutions for the digital camera already. So will be back posting photos!!

I got internet today in the hotel and I am planning to update the fotopages...but suddenly to my horror... I forgot to bring the camera usb cable.... and to make it worst.. the notebook does not have any card reader built in... oh no.... how frustrating....
